Vitamin K2 100 mcg

Our western diet contains mainly vitamin K1, which is found in plants (especially green tea, algae and green vegetables such as spinach, lettuce, parsley and cabbage). We get enough of this form of vitamin K through diet. Vitamin K2 (menaquinone) is created with the help of bacteria and is found in very small amounts in meat, eggs and dairy products. Vegetarians and vegans are prone to too low levels.
Vitamin K2 is known for its blood clotting function that was first discovered some three-quarters of a century ago. For about half a century, that was the only known function of this fat-soluble vitamin. Since then, vitamin K has been shown to have many other functions, including for the bones, in the blood vessels and in the regulation of various cell biological processes.
Vitamin K contributes to the proper functioning of blood clotting and contributes to mineral/calcium absorption in bones/bone tissue.
Vitamin K has a potentiating effect on calcium, magnesium and vitamin D.
This supplement does not contain: preservative, yeast, flavouring, artificial colouring, GMO, sugar, gluten or lactose.

Safety
Dosage: 1 to 2 tablets per day, take with water during or after a meal.
